Senior Accountant

About the Position
Our client is seeking a highly motivated individual with the skills, experience, and aptitude to serve as a Senior Accountant in the renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate cross-functionally on new non-routine transactions
  
• Perform accounting research, document accounting conclusions, and implementation of new accounting pronouncements
  
• Communicate the accounting implications of transactions to internal stakeholders at all levels
  
• Prepare journal entries for non-routine transactions, quarter-end reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures
  
• Active participation in preparing public filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, etc.)
  
• Support the external audit process
  
• Support continuous improvement on the contract/transaction review processes and implementation of SOX controls
  
• Prepare ad hoc quantitative analyses
  

  Requirements:

• CPA
  
• 3-5 years of public accounting experience (renewable energy or real estate experience is a plus)
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
  
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  
• Solution-focused with the ability to prioritize and lead multiple tasks to meet deadlines
