Senior Accountant
Job Description:
A luxury consumer products company seeks to hire a Senior Accountant for their Fairfield County office. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role requires a highly analytical individual with strong leadership capabilities. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting functions, including cash management, accounting, and reporting, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounts.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with the month-end close & reporting (US + International entities)
- Assist with the year-end external audit, bank audit, tax deliverables, and other audits
- Assist with improving financial reports and advise on best practices and optimizations relating to the accounting processes
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including but not limited to prepaid license, prepaid property account, fixed asset additions/disposals/depreciation, and clearing accounts. Provide monthly variance analysis.
- Daily cash reconciliation
- Special projects and more
This hybrid role has three days onsite.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 4-7 years in an accounting-related position, ideally with CPG experience or inventory accounting knowledge
- Understanding of US GAAP and experience
- Experience with enterprise ERP systems: Oracle or NetSuite preferred
- CPA a plus
