Manager of Corporate Accounting
Job Description:
An international hedge fund in lower Fairfield County, CT, with a long history and proven track record, seeks to hire a Corporate Accounting Manager.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical, regulatory, and tax accounting background; audit experience within financial services is a strong plus.
The firm has a great working atmosphere/environment, beautiful offices and grounds, as well as excellent benefits and earning opportunities. This position offers a base salary and discretionary bonus. The firm is onsite five days per week.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and administer accounting policies, procedures, and practices
- Research, evaluate and analyze GAAP, IFRS, regulatory, and tax matters relevant to the firm
- Complete year-end audits for domestic and international entities
- Manage quarterly and annual tax filings as well as regulatory filings as necessary
- Support monthly finance and financial planning initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and CPA designation desired
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills to effectively implement current and new accounting regulations and concepts
- A team player with excellent communication skills, able to effectively engage with colleagues as well as senior management
