Corporate Reporting Associate
Job Description:
Leading FinTech/Investment Management firm seeks to add a Reporting Analyst/Associate to their Corporate Finance team. This position combines routine financial reporting responsibilities with strategic involvement in ad hoc projects, including complex accounting transactions and integrating merger and acquisition (M&A) targets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with managing day-to-day accounting operations for various domestic and international entities, including booking journal entries and maintaining support schedules
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and notes for entities that require audits.
- Liaise with third-party firms and teams internally to gather information for quarterly and annual tax returns and provisions for various corporate entities.
- Preparation of memos and financial workbooks relating to complex transactions, including acquisitions and changes in accounting policy.
- Analyze the financial condition of acquirees as part of due diligence for potential acquisitions.
This position offers a base salary, bonus, and stock. The firm works onsite Monday - Thursday and is excited about finding dynamic individuals to add to this team.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accountingCPA certified or a candidate currently in the process
2+ years of relevant experience in the accounting or auditing field; Exposure to broker-dealers is preferred
Experience working on corporate tax is a plus
Exceptional ability in time management, written communications, and a strong aptitude for implementing checks and balances independently
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
