Payroll & Taxes Questions
- When do I get paid?
- The pay period ends each Sunday and pay day is weekly on Thursday. If Thursday is a holiday, you will receive your pay on Wednesday.
- When is my time card due?
- It’s always best to send your time card as early as possible. However, we need it no later than 10:30 am on Mondays in order to pay you by Thursday, regardless of holidays or inclement weather. Time cards received after 10:30 am will be processed the following week.
Always make sure that time cards are signed by both you and your supervisor.

Benefits & ACA Questions
- What type of healthcare insurance does Excel Partners offer?
- Excel Partners offers a MEC (Minimum Essential Value) preventative plan to employees anticipated to work 30 or more hours per week as required by the Affordable Healthcare Act. Frankly, we suggest you go your state’s Healthcare Marketplace for better coverage.
For employees living in Connecticut refer to Access Health CT.
For employees living in New York refer to NY State of Health.
If you are completing an application for coverage in either state’s Marketplace, you will need the following US Department of Labor document: USDOL – Your Health Coverage from Excel Partners. - Do I get paid for holidays?
- Yes! You will receive your first holiday pay once you have worked 1,000 hours. To receive subsequent holiday pay, you must work 400 hours. Holiday pay will be paid automatically if you are eligible, so never include holiday hours on your time card unless you actually worked on that holiday. For more details on holiday pay see our Associate Benefits document.
- Do you have a 401K plan?
- Our 401k plan is great! Excel offers matching contributions up to 100% on the first 3% of your pay that you contribute to the plan. If that isn’t enough, Excel will also match an additional 50% of the next 2% of your pay that you contribute. Employees with a year of service are eligible to enroll. See our 401k Information Page for more detailed requirements and plan documentation.
- What other benefits do you offer your employees?
- A detailed list of our benefits can be found on our Associate Benefits document.
