Medical Office Manager

Job Description:

Our client seeks a full-time, experienced Practice Manager for their Greenwich office. The Practice Manager will oversee the daily operations and be responsible for accounting and bookkeeping for the group, which includes 10 physicians and 9 staff. We seek a personable, efficient, and effective leader with excellent communication skills to manage our team.

Salary: $90,000

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, including communication, listening, customer/patient service skills, delegation, time management, and public relations skills.
  • Maximize office productivity of the front desk, clinical, and billing departments.
  • Oversee employee performance metrics to ensure optional practice efficiency.
  • Manage daily staffing schedule to fit the practice's needs.
  • Direct all hiring, onboarding, and payroll functions.
  • Manages accounts payable.
  • Assisting with business planning and improving administrative processes
  • Implementation and periodic reevaluation of organization policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and approve staff hours.
  • Develop budgets and monitor expenditures.
  • Monitor patient care practices and billing processes to comply with regulations and ensure an optimal patient experience.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment for the staff.
  • Serve as liaison for referring physicians, legal, bank, accountant, insurance brokers, and insurance companies.
  • Provide various management reports to the practice president and partners.
  • Manage vendor contracts and relationships.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • BA or MBA in business or health care management OR a minimum of three years proven
    experience in healthcare management.
  • Strong background in accounting
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and practice management software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations, and medical office procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
